Using the Manual – General
The purpose of this manual is to assist customers and agents in the efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of AGCO equipment. By following the detailed procedures and using special tools where appropriate, operations can be completed within the times stated in the Repair Time Schedule.
Page Numbering
The manual is divided into chapters and sections, and each page is identified by a code such as 10A01.1 (where 10 = chapter, A = section, 01 = sequence number within the section, and 1 = page number within the section). The issue number appears at the bottom of each page.
Use
For quick reference, each chapter begins with a table of contents listing the sections included in that chapter.
Meaning of References
Numbers in parentheses ( … ) identify parts and components.
Amendments
Updated pages will carry the same page number as the pages they replace, with only the issue number and date changed. Former pages should be destroyed.
Service Tools
When a service tool is required to perform an operation, its reference number follows the relevant instruction. Drawings for locally made tools appear in the final sections of the corresponding chapters.
Repairs and Replacements
When parts must be replaced, only genuine AGCO parts should be used. Tractor safety features may be impaired by non-genuine parts, and some countries prohibit fitting parts that do not comply with the manufacturer’s specifications. Torque-wrench settings given in the Workshop Service Manual must be observed, and specified locking devices must be fitted or replaced if their efficiency is impaired during removal. The tractor warranty may be invalidated if non-genuine parts are fitted; genuine AGCO replacement parts carry the full backing of the manufacturer’s warranty. AGCO dealers and agents are required to supply only genuine service parts.
