Preface

The aim of this manual is to assist distributors and dealers in the efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of AGCO equipment. By following the specified procedures and using the appropriate specialized tools, all operations can be completed within the times set out in the repair time schedule.

This manual is divided into sections and parts, and each page is identified by a code such as 6 B01.2—where 6 denotes the section, B the part, 01 the sequence number within the part, and 2 the page number within that part. The issue number and date appear at the bottom of each page.

To simplify navigation, each section begins with an index listing its parts, and every part opens with a table of contents to help locate specific information quickly. Parts are identified either by a circled symbol or by numbers in parentheses.

Amended pages are issued under the same page numbers as the originals; only the issue number and date change, and the old pages must be destroyed. Whenever a special service tool is required for an operation, its tool number is stated with the relevant instruction.

When replacement parts are needed, only genuine AGCO components should be used. Fitting non-genuine parts can impair tractor safety features, violate legislation in certain countries, and invalidate the warranty. Torque-wrench settings specified in the workshop manual must be observed, and locking devices replaced if their efficiency is compromised during removal. All genuine AGCO replacement parts carry the full manufacturer’s warranty, and distributors and dealers are required to supply them exclusively.

Repair-time sections mirror those in the workshop manual, ensuring consistency between procedural guidance and the corresponding time allowances.
